Salt Living Lawns service

Aeration

A useful reset for tired lawns, high-traffic areas and coastal soils that struggle to absorb water evenly.

Aeration helps open compacted lawn so roots can breathe and absorb water more effectively.

It is often paired with topdressing or seasonal feeding for a stronger recovery.

What aeration does

South West lawns can become compacted from foot traffic, vehicles, sandy soil movement and regular mowing. When the surface tightens up, water runs off or pools instead of moving into the root zone.

Aeration opens small channels through the lawn so air, water and nutrients can move back into the soil profile. The result is not instant magic, but it gives the lawn a much better chance to recover and grow evenly.

How the service works

The lawn is assessed first so the work matches the condition of the area. Aeration is then completed across the lawn, with extra attention given to compacted or stressed zones.

Where useful, Salt Living Lawns can recommend follow-up topdressing, watering changes or seasonal feeding so the lawn gets the full benefit of the work.
